The 9th Annual FOR THE LOVE OF ART Show winners--judged by local artist Emanual H. Enriquez (http://www.emanuel-enriquez-art.com/abstract2.htm) are as follows:
BEST
OF SHOW( $100): Lake High School Art Students (collectively)—a quilt/comforter entitled, “Our Story”
(each art students’ individual story of the night of the tornado 6/5/2010 & several fabric blocks showing the destruction
of their school & neighborhood).
FIRST PLACE ($75):
Isaac Smith’s “Deadeye”—colored pencil. Isaac former BGHS student, now freshman at Kendall College
of Art.
SECOND PLACE ($50): Kaitlin Kern’s
“Family Table”—acrylics (vintage wooden table hand painted w/personal images). Kaitlin is student
at Owens Community College.
THRID PLACE ($25): Dakota
Patton’s “Layers of BG”—photography—from BGHS.
